to develop and promote the exchange of ideas, scholarship and research information on theoretical and practical problems related to the activities of the European Union and to European integration and enlargement in general;

to develop and promote the exchange of ideas, scholarship and research information on the procedures, possibilities and implications of Latvia’s participation in the European Union;

to disseminate information among the Latvian general public and among academic, political, cultural, professional, and other circles in Latvia about ideas, scholarship and research on the various legal, economic, political, and other aspects of the activities of the European Union and European integration, enlargement and co-operation in general;

to disseminate information among national, foreign, and international organizations, academic, political, cultural, professional, and other circles concerning ideas, scholarship and research on the place, role, possibilities, and problems of Latvia’s participation in the accession process to the European Union and co-operation with the European structures and institutions.
