Galvenie mērķi:
- Sekmēt sadarbību starp LU un partneraugstkolu studiju virzieniem (latvistika, dzimumsocialitāte, valodu standartizācija, valodu izglītības politika, Āzijas studijas, teorētiskā valodniecība).
- Stiprināt pētniecības kapacitāti Latvijā un pilnveidot mācību metodes, veicinot pieredzes apmaiņu starp LU un partneraugstskolu akadēmiskā personāla pārstāvjiem.
- Pilnveidot izglītības satura kvalitāti, Norvēģijas pieredzi dzimumsocialitātes pētījumos un studijās iekļaujot LU studiju programās.
- Veicināt apmaiņas līgumu slēgšanu Erasmus+ programas ietvarā, kā arī diskusiju par iespējām piedalīties programmas “Apvārsnis 2020” (Horizon 2020) projektu konkursā.
- Sinerģija ar projektu “Dzimumsocialitāte kultūras un varas mijattiecībās: Latvijas un Norvēģijas diversitātes” (NFI/R/2014/061).

Goals:
- To promote the cooperation among partner institutions and study directions (Gender studies, language standardization, language education policies, Asian studies, theoretical linguistics, Latvian studies).
- To strengthen research capacity in Latvia and to improve teaching techniques, as well as academic networks by exchanging academic staff and sharing the competences.
- To improve the quality of education by inclusion of the Norwegian experience on gender issues into the contents of the University of Latvia study courses.
- To contribute to the creation of the Erasmus+ exchange agreement and plan, as well as to the discussion of a possibility to work out a project in the frames of the programme Horizon 2020.
- Synergy with the Project “Gender, Culture and Power: Diversity and Interactions in Latvia and Norway” (NFI/R/2014/061)
Work performed:
12 staff mobilities:
- 1 staff mobility to the Arni Magnusson Institute for Icelandic Studies of the University of Iceland;
- 2 staff mobilities to the Centre for Gender Research at the University of Oslo;
- 2 staff mobilities to Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education of the Arctic University of Norway;
- 2 staff mobilities to Institute of Health and Society of the University of Oslo;
- 2 staff mobilities to School of Humanities, Faculty of Foreign Languages, Literature and Linguistics of the University of Iceland;
- 1 staff mobility to the Faculty of Humanities, University of Latvia from the Centre for Gender Research at the University of Oslo;
- 2 staff mobilities to the Faculty of Humanities, University of Latvia from School of Humanities, Faculty of Foreign Languages, Literature and Linguistics of the University of Iceland.
4 student mobilities (3 PhD students 3 months each; 1 MA student 4,5 months) to the Centre for Gender Research at the University of Oslo (2016-2017).
2 student mobilities (both PhD students, 3 months each) to the Arctic University of Norway (2016).
Results of the staff mobility:
- Inclusion of the Nordic experience in gender issues into the contents of the University of Latvia study course “Gender in Literature: Discourse of Feminism” (the course is prepared by Ausma Cimdiņa, LU HZF).
- Inclusion of the Icelandic experience in sociolinguistics into the contents of the University of Latvia study course “Sociolinguistics” (the course is prepared by Ina Druviete; LU HZF).
- Participation of Norwegian colleagues in classes of the Japanese language during the visit to the Faculty of Humanities, University of Latvia, sharing the methods of teaching. The same for the Latvian colleagues during the visit to the University of Iceland.
- Inclusion of the Nordic (Institute of Health and Society of the University of Oslo) experience in health and society studies into the contents of the University of Latvia study course “Society, Culture and Medicine” (the course is prepared by Signe Mežinska; Faculty of Medicine, University of Latvia).
- Inclusion of the Nordic (Arctic University of Norway) experience in generative phonology, functional grammar and theories of language acquisition by children into the contents of the University of Latvia study courses “Modern Latvian Literary Language: Morphology”, “Modern Latvian Literary Language: Syntax”, “Functional Grammar and Text Linguistics”, “Theories of Language Acquisition” (the courses are prepared by Andra Kalnača, Ilze Lokmane; LU HZF).
- The lecture of Professor H.B. Nielsen, combining sociology, history and literary studies, helped students of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Latvia to develop a better the understanding of the interdisciplinary nature of the humanities.
- New perspective on the gender research (through Classical Studies), discussed with the colleagues from the Centre for Gender Research (linguistic features indicating gender attitude in ancient times of the European civilization);
Synergy with the Research project “Gender, Culture and Power: Diversity and Interactions in Latvia and Norway” NFI/R/2014/061
Professor Ausma Cimdiņa, visit to the Centre for the Gender Studies at the University of Oslo. As a part of the mobility’s work plan, Professor Ausma Cimdiņa participated in an open seminar, devoted to the outstanding women authors (Hulda Garborg, Aspazija) in Norway and Latvia. The seminar was organized by the Norwegian colleagues who are the researchers in the Research project “Gender, Culture and Power: Diversity and Interactions in Latvia and Norway”.
A PhD student Anna Auziņa, visit to the Centre for the Gender Studies at the University of Oslo. The PhD thesis "Sievietes pieredze un valoda Vizmas Belševicas, Ārijas Elksnes un Montas Kromas dzejā", a part of which has been worked out during the Scholarship mobility, is in progress. During the Scholarship mobility, Anna Auziņa participated with the paper “Aspects of Gynocriticism in PhD Research” in the seminar at the Centre for the Gender Studies, organized in the frames of the Research project “Gender, Culture and Power: Diversity and Interactions in Latvia and Norway”.
