On the Saturday morning Erasmus students and ESN team were gathering at the Faculty of Economics and Management. They were waiting for the trip to one of the most historical and cultural regions of Latvia. Students had a chance to get to know better Latvian history and culture, see beautiful views of nature, visit historical sites and some towns of Vidzeme. The trip was planned for two days. The first object of the trip was the White sand-dune. However, there wasn’t any white sand that day, because everything was covered with snow, even the frozen sea. Students walked and enjoyed beautiful sights of the nature. We also took pictures with the beautiful landscape in the background. Afterwards we visited Birini castle. We saw gothic style rooms and got to know interesting facts about history of the castle. Students enjoyed walking in the surroundings of the castle. The next object of the trip was Krimulda Church. Aizvadītajās brīvdienās (17.02-18.02.2018) Jūrmalā noritēja Latvijas Republikas Ziemas čempionāts iekštelpu airēšanā uz ergometriem Concept II. Sacensībās dalībnieki startēja astoņās dažādās grupās 500 m (vismazākie) un 1000 m distancēs. Lai cīnītos par LR Ziemas čempionāta medaļām, bija ieradušies arī viesi no Lietuvas - Kauņas airēšanas sporta kluba “RC Favoritas”, Latvijas Neredzīgo sporta savienības pārstāvji. Iepriekšējā nedēļas nogalē, 22. un 23. februārī, norisinājās Pasaules čempionātā Altenbergas trasē Vācijā. Divnieku ekipāžā startēja arī Latvijas Universitātes students Dāvis Spriņģis. Pasaules čempionātā kopā tika aizvadīti četri braucieni. Pirmajā braucienā komandai izdevās uzrādīt laiku: 54.97 sekundes , kas deva attiecīgi uz to brīdi 15. vietu. Otrais brauciens nedaudz sliktāks: 55.06 sekundes, kas braucienā nozīmēja 16. vietu. Trešais un ceturtais brauciens tika aizvadīts svētdienā, 23. februārī. Trešajā braucienā uzrādītais laiks: 57.47 sekundes (19. vieta braucienā). Ceturtais brauciens izdevās vislabākais, jo deva braucienā 11.vietu: 56.58 sekundes. Kopsummā komandai Pasaules čempionātā izcīnīta 17. vieta ar laiku – 3:44.08. Dāvis Spriņģis: “Pasaules čempionāts izdevās ne tāds kā vēlējāmies. Starptautiskā regate “Dzintara airi 2018” norisinājās no 29. jūnija līdz 1. jūlijam Lietuvas pilsētā Trakai un pulcēja vairāk nekā 600 pieredzes bagātus dalībniekus no visas pasaules. Šogad airētājus " Dzinatra airos - 2018" laika apstākļi nelutināja, visas trīs sacensību dienas bija liels vējš un viļņi. Interesanti, ka regates skatītajiem tika piedāvāta iespēja izmēģināt “sauso airēšanu”, izmantojot iekštelpas trenažierus un virtuālās realitātes brilles. One of the important actors of the alliance is the FORTHEM Student Council. Each partner university chooses two of their students to the council, creating an international student network of 18 members. The Student Council will participate in the decision making by bringing forward opinions, statements, and development propositions from students and student associations to the higher decision-making bodies of the FORTHEM alliance. The Student Council will choose a representative among them for the FORTHEM Steering Committee. Additionally, the Student Council will name a representative to each of the five Mission Boards that manage focus areas and their activities in the FORTHEM Alliance. To represent your home university in the FORTHEM Student Council is a good fit for you if you are interested in international cooperation of higher education communities, and if you are possibly planning a career in international project and management positions. In the building of Riga Latvian Society the annual awards of Latvian Economic Development Forum (LEDF) were presented. This competition in its 12 years of existence has become a valued brand in the Latvian universities and has allowed introducing to a wider public high quality researches on various important topics for the Latvian economy. The main awards were received also by students and graduates of the University of Latvia. In the building of Riga Latvian Society the annual awards of Latvian Economic Development Forum (LEDF) were presented. This competition in its 12 years of existence has become a valued brand in the Latvian universities and has allowed introducing to a wider public high quality researches on various important topics for the Latvian economy. FORTHEM alliance aims to open up new possibilities for students to travel and study within seven partner universities in Germany, Finland, Latvia, Poland, Spain or Italy! Students from FORTHEM alliance’s universities are invited to apply for two different type of short-term mobilities in 2021. Open call is between October 27th and November 29th. Individual short-term student mobility offers to fund travel costs, accommodation and living expenses, if student has a study project for which he/she needs to travel alone to one of our partner universities for a maximum period of 10 days on site. Collective short-term student mobility gives students a chance to take part in a week-long activity (5 days maximum on site) as part of a group of approximately 35 students, 5 coming from each of the partner universities, who will meet physically on site in one university. Oktobra sākumā Latvijas U-21 un nacionālās izlases rindas pārstāvējuši 5 Latvijas Universitātes studenti. Oktobra sākumā Latvijas nacionālā futbola izlase aizvadīja trīs spēles, divas no tām Nāciju līgas ietvaros. Valstsvienība cīnījās neizšķirti 1:1 pret Melnkalnes un Fēru salu izlasēm, kā arī spēles pēdējās sekundēs mājās ar 0:1 piekāpās Maltas futbolistiem. Latvijas izlases rindas pārstāvējaLatvijas Universitātes students Roberts Uldriķis, kurš šobrīd futbolu spēlē Šveices Superlīgas klubā FC Sion, kā arī Latvijas Universitātes programmas "Biznesa vadība" pirmā kursa students Raimonds Krollis no FK Metta. Tikmēr 9. un 13. oktobrī Latvijas U-21 izlase aizvadīja EČ kvalifikācijas turnīra spēles pret Bulgāriju un Krieviju, piedzīvojot zaudējumus ar 0:1 un 1:4. Augšuplādē LUIS vai iesniedz papildu dokumentus No 06.08.2024. līdz 20.08.2024. pirmā kursa studenti, kuri atbilst vienai no zemāk minētajām personu grupām: students ir invalīds vai bārenis; students dzīvo ğimenē, kurā ir trīs vai vairāk nepilngadīgi; students dzīvo ğimenē, kurā visi ğimenes locekļi ir pensionāri un/vai invalīdi; students dzīvo ğimenē, kurai piešķirts trūcīgās ğimenes statuss augšupielādē LUIS vai iesniedz Studiju servisa departamentā (Raiņa bulv. 19, 125. telpa) dokumentu, kas apstiprina studenta atbilstību minētajam statusam.
