Sestdien, 13. oktobrī, Klaipēdā norisinājās starptautiskās regates “Danes regate” sacensības 3 km distancē, kurās piedalījās arī Latvijas Universitātes 3. kursa students Kalvis Kazaks. Sacensībās piedalījās vairāk nekā 200 dalībnieku, kuri pārstāvēja tādas valstis kā Latviju, Lietuvu, Igauniju, Krieviju un citas. Vieglsvaru vieninieku klasē piedalījās Latvijas Universitātes BVEF students Kalvis Kazaks un ar uzrādīto laiku 11:55,94 izcīnīja otro vietu, piekāpjoties vienīgi savam komandas biedram Ģirtam Sokolovam .

Nena Markovic, Raimonds Kokarevics and Javier Mendoza, students of the second year of the European Studies Master Program were awarded with a Certificate of honor for significant contribution to developing of scientific research paper „Living in Latvia” for the Latvian Economic Development Forum research paper competition that was issued by the Council of Higher Education of the Republic of Latvia on the ceremony hold the past 9th of November. The research paper explores the satisfaction and motivation of the international students that come to Latvia in order to make an exchange. In addition, it makes a comparison with the answers of the local students to extract conclusions and address recommendation to the higher education institutions.
