Līdz 27.oktobrim visi Latvijas Universitātes (un arī citu augstskolu*) studenti neatkarīgi no studiju līmeņa un fakultātes, ir aicināti pieteikt savas idejas un komandas dalībai LU studentu Biznesa inkubatora jaunajā sezonā. Pēc divām nedēļām - 22. oktobrī notiks Matchmaking night, kur topošie un esošie jaunie uzņēmēji varēs atrast sev komandas biedrus un pat biznesa idejas, ar ko startēt dalībai inkubatorā šosezon. Laiks un nauda Vispirms LU studentu Biznesa inkubators piedāvā saviem dalībniekiem pārbaudīt biznesa idejas dzīvotspēju 3 mēnešu pirms-inkubācijas programmā, kas ir balstīta uz Stīva Blanka ( Steve Blank ) izstrādātas metodoloģijas. Šogad jaunie uzņēmēji, kuri veiksmīgi izies pirmo etapu un piedalīsies inkubatora organizētajā “Demo Dienā” februāra sākumā, varēs pretendēt uz naudas balvām , pateicoties ERAF līdzfinansētājam projektam Nr. 1.1.1.3/18/A/007" Latvijas Universitātes inovāciju granti

Otrajā Latvijas Universitātes (LU) Biznesa, vadības un ekonomikas fakultātes (BVEF) un lidosta “Rīga” rīkotajā “Mobility City Challenge 2022” hakatonā, kas notika 23. līdz 25. septembrim, piedalījās 105 studenti no sešām Latvijas augstskolām. Sīvā konkurencē uzvarēja un 1000 eiro balvu, kā arī iespēju piedalīties sacensību fināla posmā Barselonā (Spānijā) ieguva komanda RIX3027 - Rihards Mežiņš (LU), Ridhan Parvendhan (RTU), Lita Bogdanova un Beāte Monta Eihe (Banku augstskola). “Interesanti, ka hakatona uzvarētāji komandu izveidoja uz vietas, lai gan lielākā daļa studentu uz pasākumu jau nāca ar izveidotām komandām. Uzvarētājkomandas ideja ir mērogojams 24/7 bērnudārzs lidosta teritorijā, sākotnēji darbiniekiem, bet vēlāk pasažieriem un plašākai auditorijai, kas saņēma visaugstāko žūrijas vērtējumu,” uzver hakatona organizatore LU BVEF asoc. prof. Trīs dienu tiešsaistes hakatonu organizē Latvijas Universitātes Cietvielu fizikas institūts, un tas norisināsies no 16. līdz 18. oktobrim. Piedalīties aicināti studenti no jebkuras universitātes un studiju jomas, lai strādātu pie idejām un risinājumiem STEM (dabaszinības, tehnoloģijas, inženierzinātne, matemātika) nozarēs. “Student Deep Science Hackathon” tiek organizēts jau kopš 2018. gada. Šajā nedēļas nogalē hakatons jau otro reizi pulcēs zinātkāros studentus no Latvijas universitātēm, kas interesējas par STEM (dabaszinībām, tehnoloģijām, inženierzinātnēm, matemātiku) nozarēm. “Student Deep Science Hackathon” būs trīs dienu tiešsaistes pasākums, kas nodrošinās mentoru un ekspertu atbalstu pašreizējiem studentiem inovatīvu ideju attīstīšanai virtuālā vidē. On Sunday, 30 th October, Latvia’s First Division Football League champions were named. They are „FS METTA/ University of Latvia”. Since the beginning of the season they had been striving to win and to qualify for the top level - the Master’s League. During the whole season, the student team’s performance was stable and, for quite a while, they hadn’t lost a single game. However, over the last three rounds before the final they had been defeated by the rival „JPFS/Spartaks”, which made the situation dramatic. On Sunday, it all ended with a great victory over „BFCDaugava” in Daugavpils - 3:0. Juris Visnakovs, a student of the UL Faculty of Economics and Management, scored two goals, but Raitis Grablovskis hit the final one.The match results ensured the students’ team winning the First Division Championship one round before its end which means the students will play among the top-level teams next year. While schools have made valiant efforts to continue the provision of learning for students, the success of those efforts has varied, and has often been hindered by limited access to technologies and high-speed broadband available in the homes of teachers and students. The changes have enforced existing social inequalities because of insufficient skills, resources, time or health to assist children with remote learning. Closing schools disrupted the education of all children, but some will have coped better than others. Children are differentially advantaged, reflecting their background and circumstances. This year, the outstanding professor of medicine and solo singerJānisV.Kļaviņšwould celebrate his 100th birthday. In honour of this event, his honorary scholarship calls for donations.
