Latvijas Universitātes ikgadējais pasākums „Studenta kurpēs” ik gadu norisinās martā. Tā mērķauditorija ir topošie studenti – vidusskolēni. Pasākuma laikā skolēniem ir iespēja iejusties „studenta ādā” un piedalīties LU studiju procesā, tostarp lekcijās, semināros, laboratorijas un praktiskajos darbos, kā arī iepazīties ar LU studiju programmām, to saturu un studiju procesu, kas palīdzētu pieņemt motivētu lēmumu tālākās izglītības izvēlē. Your application will be checked by your local FORTHEM office and transmitted to the project organisers for a final selection. Using the selection criteria announced, project organisers will produce a list of approximately 3 students per university admitted to the programme, plus a waiting list for other applicants who will receive a notification if a place becomes available.

The University of Latvia Foundation in recent conversation with Peter A. Ragaušs – a board member of Friends of the University of Latvia and Baltic-American Freedom Foundation (BAFF), Honorary Consul of Latvia in Texas and a long-time director of various major US energy companies – talks about his connection to Latvia, his Latvian ethnicity and the local Latvian community in the US, his projects in Latvia and his belief in importance of donating to the University of Latvia and higher education overall. With roots in Latgale Scholarship "Ceļamaize" welcomes the newest member to join its circle of patrons, Peter Aloizs Ragaušs. His contribution, starting from 2019/2020, will provide for two additional special scholarships will be awarded to the first-year undergraduate students of the University of Latvia with origins in Latgale. "Scientia est potentia!" jeb "Zināšanas ir spēks!" – ar šādu vadmotīvu Latvijas Universitātes Studentu padome (LU SP) ar LU Inovāciju centra LUMIC atbalstu jau ceturto gadu organizē studentu zinātnisko konferenci "Elementum", kas šogad norisināsies no 2. līdz 3. decembrim LU Akadēmiskā centra Dabas mājā. On Thursday, April 18th, from 16:00 to 20:30, University of Latvia’s Sports Day will take place at the House of Sciences of the University of Latvia and on the territory of the Academic Centre of the University of Latvia, at 3 Jelgavas Street, organized by Latvian University students in collaboration with the LU Sports Centre and the LU Student Council. Participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in both team sports and individual disciplines, competing for valuable prizes.. The opening of the event is scheduled for 16:00, when participation in individual disciplines will be open, and tournaments within the event will start from 17:00, so that LU students who do not have lectures at the LU Academic Centre can also participate in the tournaments after their lectures. It has been researched that not only individual teacher’s professional self-efficacy, but also collective self-efficacy has a significant impact on both the teachers’ self-efficacy and students’ achievement. The purpose of this study is to select a set of factors that correlate with teachers’ professional self-efficacy and to analyse if teachers’ professional self-efficacy has an impact on teachers’ cooperation with colleagues and students.
