You can participate in the FORTHEM Labs to gain work experience in international and multidisciplinary expert networks. Labs are FORTHEM’s expert networks that consist of teams of researchers, students and external partners that work together to address pressing societal challenges in Europe. Student participation in Labs is highly encouraged. Working in the Labs can provide several benefits to you, including ECTS credit compensation, internships in other Alliance universities or their partner organisations, short-term mobility opportunities, etc. Labs provide valuable experience of working in an international and multidisciplinary setting with many nationalities and academic fields. Gretha Boor . 2. “Sedimentary Basin Records of Earth’s climate”  – Partner institutions (Mainz/Valencia/Dijon/Palermo) contribute online lectures and exercises over a semester so we can work toward a joint course for all Master level students in the Alliance. In August 2022 we will run a 5-day camp at Molinos with students from each partner institution. Please contact  Virginia Toy  (Mainz)if you already teach in this field and could contribute. 3. Climate change communication summer school in 202 3 inJyväskylä : In advance we will produce short outreach videos highlighting research in all partner institutions relevant to the Lab. These will beanalyzedduring the summer school.  JanLundell (JYU)will develop guidelines for these videos and distribute with a call for contributions. 4. Launching Joint R&I Services and Policy Office

On 10th June 2022 in Riga, FORTHEM Steering Committee acknowledged the launching of the first joint office within the Alliance, which has been created as a result of actions in FIT FORTHEM WP6. The set-up and objectives of the Joint Research and Innovation Services and Policy Office are already agreed. The office will assist in research integration and liaising with policy-makers. It will make use of the research-related data, action plans and preliminary results developed by various FIT FORTHEM work packages for the alliance to exploit them in its further R&I activities.
