The Digital Freedom Festival is a multi-event platform where the geeks of the digital era meet with policymakers to solve problems caused by the clash of the digital and analogue worlds. Investors and technology evangelists connect with young, bright minds of the start-up scene, and consumers discuss the impact of technology on our lifestyles. The festival take place in Riga on November 14th and 15th and gather more than 1500 technology and start-up entrepreneurs, experts, policymakers, investors, journalists and students from all over the world to share inspiration and experiences. We are happy to announce that the registration for the MonGOS Summer School 2022 is open! Master’s and Doctoral (Ph.D) students interested in the circular economy, sustainable development, environmental sciences/engineering and environmental management from all over the world are invited to apply by 8 April 2022. University of Latvia offers introductory and advanced courses in quantum algorithms and software on both undergraduate and graduate level. Within the Latvian Quantum Technologies Initiative, a set of four study modules is developed, with two modules on quantum software at the Faculty of Computing, University of Latvia, a module on quantum devices at the Department of Physics, University of Latvia, and a module on quantum communication at the Riga Technical University. The first of these modules will be offered in the 2023/2024 academic year. Workshopson quantum programming for high school students and general public are offered through the QWorld initiative, for audiences in Latvia and abroad.
