No 24. līdz 28. aprīlim Latvijas Universitātē (LU) norisināsies ikgadējais pasākums “Studenta kurpēs”. Aicinām ikvienu vidussskolēnu izmantot šo lielisko iespēju un vienu dienu iejusties studenta lomā, uzzinot, kā noris studiju dzīve LU. 2018. gada oktobra izskaņā, no 25. līdz 27. oktobrim Viļņā norisinājās 21. starptautiskā zinātniskā konference “EcoBalt 2018”. Konferences pirmsākumi meklējami Latvijā, bet jau pēdējos sešus gadus konference norisinās pārmaiņus visās Baltijas valstīs. Šogad Viļņas Universitāte konferences dalībniekiem deva iespēju prezentēt pētījumus par dažādām tēmām, kas saistītas ar analītisko ķīmiju, dabas paraugu analīzi, modernajiem materiāliem, dabas aizsardzību un ilgtspējīgu ķīmijas zinātnes attīstību. Konferencē piedalījās vairāk nekā 100 zinātnieki no Baltijas valstīm, Polijas, Lielbritānijas, Grieķijas u.c. Īpaši plaši tika pārstāvēta Latvijas Universitātes Ķīmijas fakultāte. 18. maijā plkst. 18.00 notiks Latvijas Universitātes Teoloģijas fakultātes (LU TF) un LU TF Studentu pašpārvaldes organizēta diskusija par sabiedrības procesu pētniecību un pētnieku vietu Latvijas sabiedrībā. Diskusija norisināsies Latvijas UniversitātesTeoloģijas fakultātes 161. auditorijā, Raiņa bulvārī 19. Pēdējo mēnešu laikā ir notikusi vēršanās pret atsevišķiem pētniekiem un viņu pētniecībā veidotiem spriedumiem par mūsdienu Latvijas sabiedrības vērtībām, pagātni un nākotni.
