DOCUMENTS FOR ADMISSION When applying for a Bachelor’s programme, applicants have to present the following document: Secondary School diploma (Tam orta təhsil haqqinda attestat) When applying for Master’s programme , applicants have to present the following documents: Bachelor’s degree (Bakalavr diploma) AND diploma supplement Officially certified copies of the documents must be presented in original language and in English. It is recommended to submit all education documents for more qualitative recognition of education. Documents (education diploma and statement on punishability) have to be legalised with an Apostille certificate. RESIDENCE PERMIT Documents for temporary residence permit have to be submitted: Personally in the Embassy of Latvia in Azerbaijan, or It could be provided by University of Latvia. Please contact with admissions coordinator for further matters. Master’s degree and PhD students can apply for visa in Azerbaijan
permit in Latvia. Note! If you are still studying in last semester and don’t have a diploma, you can apply with provisional results from your school. You will need to submit an obtained diploma afterwards. Note! Applicants who submit documents for temporary residence permit after August 20 th , have to choose express examination of documents for 10 days. If the residence permit obtaining process continues longer than expected, LU makes a decision on the commencement of study options in this or next academic year. The FORTHEM Alliance’s Multilingualism in School and Higher Education Lab organized three output planning meetings to chart future outputs of the Lab. The meetings were very fruitful and multiple outputs are now going ahead. The Multilingualism in School and Higher Education Lab began the planning of its outputs with three output planning meetings on 23, 25 and 30 June. The outputs follow several topics, including genres and multimodal meaning-making in higher education, implementing EMI programs, the inclusion of immigrant and minority languages in education, and the utilization of online chatbots and easy languages to facilitate smoother interaction both in the FORTHEM Alliance and beyond. Concrete outputs that the Lab will develop on these topics include webinars on theoretical considerations that are the basis of planning chatbots and study easy languages, a summer school about multilingual learners (in collaboration with Diversity and Migration Lab), the development of learning

About LaMSA is an NGO promoting health and education. It is one of the 128 national medical student associations, a fully fledged member of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations ( IFMSA ). In cooperation with IFMSA the students gain access to international internship possibilities, publication possibilities, campaigns, WHO conferences and other events. The participation in the programme is absolutely free for any student that is enrolled to one of FORTHEM partner universities during the application process and during the actual mobility. In addition, you will receive a FORTHEM scholarship to help cover the approximate costs of your travel, accommodation and living expenses while abroad. Students are responsible for finding their own accommodation and meals, but the hosting university can help by providing links and resources. Any additional expenses are not covered by FORTHEM Alliance. For more information about funding you can contact the local FORTHEM office at your home university.
