Experiencing Europe Lab introduced its works on 5–6th May during the International Kick-Off Meeting, which was chaired by the University of Opole. The meeting started with the introduction of FORTHEM Experiencing Europe Lab by Dr. Barbara Curyło (Alliance Level Contact Person), followed by the presentation of FORTHEM Labs by Dr. Tamás Péter Szabó (Scientific Manager for FORTHEM Lab Actions.) On 5th May, one session of the meeting was designated for presenting seven Experiencing Europe Local Labs within all partner universities, after which the most hoped-for session took place – brainstorming. Participants took part in defining common denominators, discussing ideas, reflecting on common actions as well as diagnosing essential challenges in European public sphere for Experiencing Europe Lab research. 6th May began with stating and scheduling tasks of Experiencing Europe Lab, defining modus operandi of Experiencing Europe Lab and scheduling next Experiencing Europe Lab Alliance level
How can you set up a project?
26.11.2021. 15.27 Saturs
You develop an idea and a project with other staff members, involving also students and external partners, from at least one other FORTHEM University . FORTHEM helps you to find staff members from other universities for your project by posting a request similar to a job advertisement ("We are looking for someone for our project...") to which other staff members can reply and contact you. You will also find on our website a list with the student associations within the FORTHEM Alliance , with whom you can cooperate within your project. The projects should have a European added value by addressing priorities identified at European level according to the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by all UN member states , which provide a shared vision of a sustainable future free of hunger, inequality and poverty based on the principles of inclusion, solidarity and active citizenship. The projects can be implemented physically, in a hybrid way or, due to the current situation

Trešdien, 8. oktobrī plkst. 13:00, Ķengaraga ielā 8, 2.stāva zālē "Simulating Proton Transfer to Charged Electrodes with Reactive Molecular Dynamics Trajectories" Prof. Eckhard Spohr, Lehrstuhl für Theoretische Chemie Universität Duisburg-Essen D-45141 Essen, Germany A reactive trajectory approach for the study of proton discharge at charged metal surfaces is discussed. It is based on an extension of a minimalistic empirical valence bond (EVB) model to study proton transfer in the bulk. Quantum mechanical density functional theory calculations were parametrized for the EVB force _eld. The model is used to investigate reactive (discharging) proton trajectories that were started in the bulk of a water _lm adsorbed on charged metal electrodes. We study the electrochemically active Pt(111) surface un- der various conditions. For pure water in contact with the electorde, the results indicate a transition between a reaction-dominated regime at moderate negative charges, where the rate

A new release of the H2020 database is now available on the eCORDA portal. It contains data frozen on the 5 March 2021. The main features of this new release are: • additional flags such as for the signed projects, • additional fields for the EIC scheme, • same additions included in the version 4 of the eCORDA API, • cleaning of the researchers identifiers, that led to the extension of the tables with new fields for ORCID ID, researcher ID, Google scholar ID or Scopus author ID. New fields to determine the Seals of Excellence were also added, but the correct data will be updated with the next refresh of eCORDA. Other useful information: • you need your EU Login credentials to access eCORDA platform • a user manual to help you discover the platform content and reports can be accessed here • Confidentiality rules for framework programme data stored in eCORDA are available •eCORDA users having access to all themes (members of the strategic configuration of the H2020
