Praktiskās latviešu valodas kurss paredzēts ārzemju studentiem, kas mācās Latvijas Universitātē un ir ieguvuši priekšzināšanas latviešu valodā A1, A2, B1 un B2 prasmes līmenī. Kursa mērķis ir pilnveidot studentu latviešu valodas runas un rakstu prasmes, padziļināt viņu zināšanas par latviešu valodas morfoloģijas, sintakses, leksikas, frazeoloģijas, tekstizveides, stila un valodas kultūras jautājumiem, veidot izpratni par valodas variantiem rakstu valodā un runas diskursā, kā arī pilnveidot valodas apguvēju komunikatīvo, valodas, pragmatisko un sociokultūras kompetenci. Kurss veidots saskaņa ar Eiropas Padomes pieņemto satura specifikācijas C1 – attīstītās valodas līmeņa (Vantage), prasībām.

Kurss veidots saskaņa ar Eiropas Padomes pieņemto satura specifikācijas B2 attīstītās valodas līmeņa (Vantage) prasībām.

Jau 55. gadu Latvijas Universitātes Studentu padome rīko lielākos studentu svētkus “Aristotelis”, lai jaunie un esošie studenti pavadītu neaizmirstamu un piedzīvojumiem bagātu dienu pirms studiju sākuma. Jaunā studiju gada ieskandināšana notiks 5. septembrī no plkst. 18.00 līdz nākamā rīta 02.30 LU Akadēmiskajā centrā brīvā dabā ar urbāna festivāla noskaņu. Pasākumam “Aristotelis’55” ir 2 daļas – oficiālā un vakara daļa. Oficiālajā daļā studenti ar karogiem, plakātiem un saukļiem kopā ar jauniegūtajiem un esošajiem studiju un fakultātes biedriem parādīs, cik lieli savas fakultātes patrioti viņi ir, kā arī būs iespējams dzirdēt vairākas svinīgas uzrunas un dziesmas.
