The annual freshman celebration «Aristotle»

An Aristotel celebration is 44 years old tradition of greeting first year students. The first Aristotle celebration took place in 1966. Traditionaly celebration will take a place in Riga ’s Dome Square, center of Old Riga. New students will be greeted by rector of University, deans of faculties as well as minister of science and education, Riga mayor and president of Latvia. University’s dance and music amateur groups will give performances during a celebration.

An official part in Dome Square latter will be continued by concert of local bands "Pienvedēja piedzīvojumi", "Dzelzs vilks", "Ēnu kaleidoskops" as well as other.
