A French edition of Andrejs Rauhvargers’ book “Global University Rankings and Their Impact” has been published in Paris. Andrejs Rauhvargers is UL Professor and Secretary General of the Latvian Rectors’ Conference.
The book’s original English edition based on the research commissioned by the European University Association (EUA) was released in Brussels in June and within two months has attracted the attention worldwide – it has already been quoted and analysed in the media of different countries more than fifty times, for example, in a number of European countries, the USA and Canada, several Latin American countries, Korea, Malaysia, India, as well as in many Chinese newspapers, but the biggest-selling Australian newspaper “The Australian” devoted five articles to this research.
As the study has broad resonance, its supporters - the Robert Bosch Foundation (Germany) and a
Portugal-based
magnate of
Armenian origin and supporter of science and culture Gulbenkian Foundation have informed the EUA that they will also support further research at least until 2013.
