The University of Latvia (UL) Faculty of Business, Management and Economics (FBME) offers six popular bachelor's and master’s study programmes, as well as a new bachelor’s programme “Industrial Engineering” for the winter enrolment. Applications for studies can be submitted from January 2 to January 24. Local students will have an opportunity to apply for 15 study places funded by the UL.

“For the first time in UL we offer an engineering degree and qualification. The objective of the new study programme is to provide an opportunity for the youth to obtain internationally competitive education and prepare new system management engineers of high qualification. We welcome everyone with a goal to learn and increase their knowledge in the fields of finance, economy, entrepreneurship, management, as well as international relations and European studies, to participate in the winter enrolment,” emphasized the UL FBME Dean and Associate Professor Gundars Bērziņš. The FBME welcomes the students to the academic bachelor’s programme “Business Administration” and the new professional bachelor’s programme “Industrial Engineering” (in Latvian and English), which is the only one in the Baltic countries. For the master’s degree, there is an opportunity to study in two academic programmes – the subprogramme of “Economics” with a specialization “Finance and Credit” – “International Relations (Economics)” which iss an opportunity to obtain a double degree in two years, and “Business Administration”, which is held under the marketing management programme. The academic master’s study programme “European Studies” and professional study programme “International Business” can be mastered in English. All the study programmes are funded personally, except the new study programme “Industrial Engineering”, which offers 15 study places funded by the UL. The bachelor’s programmes are intended for the high school graduates and the students, who want to change their specialization, as well as the entrepreneurs aiming to gain some academic knowledge to supplement their experience in business. The academic and professional master’s study programme is the best option for the middle and top level managers, employees of international institutions, governments, and municipalities, and also the experienced entrepreneurs to enable rapid development of their businesses. The UL FBME winter enrolment in seven study programmes will start in January 2 and end in January 25, 2018. The documents can be submitted on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 16.00 to 18.30, and Sundays from 10.00 to 14.00 at Aspazijas bulvāris 5, Study Centre (room 312).
