The team of the University of Latvia was left second, while the European Humanities University (Belarusian university in exile in Vilnius, Lithuania) ranked third.

For the first time, on 25th-26th February, 2011, the annual Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition Baltic Rounds took place in Riga, Latvia. In the final pleading of the Baltic Cup competed the teams of University of Latvia, where the applicant was represented by Mārtiņš Dambergs and Anastasija Zankoviča, and the University of Copenhagen, representing the respondent by Jonas Thomsen Sekyere and Matias Nordmann Winther. The judges from Lithuania and Poland unanimously selected the team of the University of Copenhagen as the winner. The Best Oralist Award was given to Jonas Thomsen Sekyere from the University of Copenhagen. The Jessup Competition is a simulation of a fictional dispute between countries before the International Court of Justice, the judicial organ of the United Nations. This year the participants discuss the legality of the use of unmanned drones and international anti-corruption law. Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is the world's largest and best - known moot court competition, with participants from over 500 law schools in more than 80 countries. After the friendly rounds of the Baltic Cup all teams have started even more intense preparations for the international rounds in Washington, D.C. The event was organized by the Student Council of the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. The organizers express their gratitude to the judges, who all acted at the tournament voluntary.
