Masdar City is located near Abu Dhabi; it will be completed this summer when the first residents move in. The studies and living in the newly created city is a kind of experiment with every resident being its participant. The aim of the Institute is not only to develop the production of renewable energy, but also change people’s views on energy consumption. Every resident will be allocated a specified amount of energy at the beginning of a month and will be able to use it in everyday life. At the end of the month the surplus of energy can be sold out or in case one runs short of energy, it can be bought additionally.
All persons interested should submit their TOEFL and GRE examination results as well as a letter of motivation when applying. Students must be highly motivated not only to obtain knowledge but also to change the world’s views on energy consumption.
