
The University of Latvia will be the coordinating body of the network from July 1st 2010 till June 30 2013 replacing the long term coordinator and the founder of the network – the University of Turku, Finland. The activities of BSRUN will be coordinated by the director of the International Relations Department of the University of Latvia, Alīne Gržibovska.
The handing over ceremony of the coordination of the network will take place at the University of Latvia on June 29, room 21, Raina Blvd. 19.
BSRUN has been founded on February 28, 2000 in Turku, Finland. Currently the network unites 31 universities from 7 countries – Belarus, Estonia, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Finland. Latvia is represented by University of Latvia, Latvia University of Agriculture and Riga Technical University.
The network has been created with the aim to promote the cooperation among the network members, including the exchange of students, researchers, teaching and administrative staff.
