It was very loud and full of surprises ... one evening in the Fazer Amica cafe... together with people from all over Europe...lots of positive emotions… Of course we are now speaking of the Una Notte da Italiano. This time the theme of the party was Italy and its culture.

Erasmus students from Italy welcomed everyone to enjoy a trip around their country, through their presentations of different regions, like Trentino, Veneto, Lazio, Basilicata....and afterwards listen to the music from these regions played live with guitars! Singing karaoke was also in the program!

Dear, Luca Plotegher, Marco Trevisan, Marco Donatini, Eliana Cardia, Michele Brombal, Giulio Cavinato, Massimo Balloni, Massimo Furiett, Pasquale Carlucci, Paola Tommasi, Miriam Carbini, and Federica Petrosino, we would like to thank you for the work you have done to prepare this evening!!!
Best insight into the event you will gain from the people who were there, so here are some opinions:

Eliana Cardia, Italy (she made the extremely tasty Tiramisù):
The event was a good way according to me, to explain more about Italian regions and culture, to deny or confirm some stereotypes of Italian people! As regard the preparation I loved it very much! At first it was difficult to cooperate with so many people with different things to do but finally everybody was able to participate actively, especially our Massimo with their guitars!!

Michele Brombal, Italy:
I was a bit surprised about the anchormen: they were a little bit TOO LOUD, even for Italian people...Concerning atmosphere, it was good! The end of the evening was really nice. Maybe dancing would have deserved some more time.

Agnese Mūrniece, Latvia:
I think it was lovely event, because Italian culture is really something I am keen into, so it was great to get to know more things about it. Even if I have been to Italy for some time, there still were things to discover. - I liked the idea of showing the diversity of Italy, telling about different regions, showing presentations, singing typical songs etc. Also the fact that event was cheerful and spent in a very free
atmosphere.

Pavol Cobirka, Slovakia:
There was lots of eating, listening to music and talking to friends in the event...at the end of course dancing.... No special preparation for event...just took shower..put on clothes and lets go! The best was meal!

Santa Belija, Latvia:
I found out about Una Notte da Italiano from my friends in ESN Riga. I liked mostly everything. The hosts were great, the prepared food by the Italian students was very tasty and the program was interesting. I found out a lot of interesting things about Italian regions. The presentation about the stereotypes was very funny and I liked the final disco time, of course! I just enjoyed the great time spent with ERASMUS students and I would definitely like to come to the next ESN Riga organized event, because all of the events by ESN Riga are very interesting and enjoyable and I like them very much!

Here it is, another cultural event well organized and conducted at the cafeteria Fazer Amica. Already for the 4th semester in a row ESN has organized an event dedicated to a specific culture (other ones were Arabic, African and Spanish). It’s a real pity that the time is always too short to organize more of such! Nevertheless springtime is already here and the Erasmus life in Riga is entering the final stage. Also ESN Riga is keeping up with the growing demand for organized activities and offers a bunch of opportunities for you to participate in. Don’t miss the next event with Erasmus students and ESN Riga! Ciao e arrivederci!
