10th International Conference “Jews in a Changing World”

The Council of Jewish Communities of Latvia, the Museum „Jews in Latvia” and the Center for Judaic Studies at the University of Latvia invites to attend the 10th International Conference „Jews in a Changing World”, which will be held during April 26–28, 2017.
The conference is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Latvia and the contribution of Jews to Latvia's founding and development.
The Jewish community historically has been an important part of the Latvian cultural and political landscape. The activities of the Jewish communities have been closely connected with the development of Latvia and the formation of its cultural and social identity. During the conference, a wide range of issues related to the contribution of Jews to the political, economic, social and cultural life of Latvia will be discussed.
Conference venue: Riga Jewish Community Center, Skolas 6.
The organizers are Council of Jewish Communities of Latvia, Center for Judaic Studies at the University of Latvia and museum “Jews in Latvia”.
The official opening of the conference will be held on 26 April at 17:00.
