For volunteers

All over the world, thousands of volunteers help realize such ambitious sports events as the Olympic Games or the World Cup, and are an integral part of the daily life of sports teams and federations. Volunteers are the backbone of coaches, managers and team administration that help ensure the success of sports teams and federations.

The importance of volunteers in the sports sector is widely recognized and there are currently many and varied volunteer programs in countries such as Australia, USA, Canada as well as European countries. The students of the University of Latvia are also given a fantastic opportunity to become part of the Sports Center of the University of Latvia, contribute to the achievement of our common goals and carry the name of our university throughout the region.

The aim of the Latvian University Sports Center volunteer program is to create an appropriate environment for young people so that they can spend useful time in a sporty, friendly and educational atmosphere and improve their skills in various fields. 

We greatly appreciate the volunteers with the initiative and if you have not yet joined the Latvian University Sports Center volunteer group and you have ideas on how you can help us, the desire to contribute to the development of sports at the University of Latvia and you simply want to have a good and useful time, then apply by writing to sports@ lu.lv or fill out the questionnaire.
