Academic CentreLet's start the semester with LU Strenght day, where every LU student will have the opportunity to test their strenght in different disciplines! Strenght day will take place at 3 venues - Zinātņu māja, Dabas māja and LU Faculty of Business, Management and Economics from 10.00 to 12.30.
In a week, at september 15 will be 3 x 3 basketball night tournament. It will be a great opportunity for classmates and simply good friends studying at the University of Latvia to participate in an interesting sporting event. A week after the 3 x 3 basketball night tournament, there will be an LU football night tournament. One of the most popular tournaments at the University of Latvia is the LU Football League tournament, which has not happened for the last 2 years due to the spread of THE COVID-19 pandemic, so to the delight of football fans, the LU Autumn Football tournament is being hosted. The LU Beach volleyball night tournament will happen on October 6. The LU Beach volleyball night tournament is interesting with mixed teams (1 woman and 1 man) taking part in the tournament. You can find more information about the event, as well as the event's rules and login questionnaire here!
As next will be, a LU student hike on October 22, with participants having the chance to take a fun, 15 km hike along the forest roads with various activities during the hike. You can find more information about the event, as well as the event's rules and login questionnaire here!
After the beach volleyball tournament, the annual LU Auto photo orientation race will be held between November 4 and 6. There will be an opportunity to participate in the event, or who is interested in it. As part of the event, the main goal of the teams is to get as many points as possible by locating the specified checkpoints and performing the tasks assigned. Points can be obtained by at least 1 participant taking a photo at checkpoints and/or filming the task process.
And as the concluding event this term will be the Online power Championships, for which information will still follow!
The sports Centre of the University of Latvia invites all students of the University of Latvia to practise an active lifestyle and participate in as many active and athletic events as possible!
