The aim of the course is to develop students' knowledge, skills and competences according at A1/2/A2 level in accordance with the common European guidelines for language learning.
The course tasks are as follows:
1. Develop the ability to create simple dialogues: health and illness, everyday life, orientation in the city, German history and culture, regional variants of the German language, etc.
2. Provide an opportunity to practice audiovisual (viewing+listening) skills. Special attention is paid to learning learning strategies that help in the learning process.
3. To promote the creation of simple written texts.
The course is conducted in German.
Goal of the study course is to provide students with possibility to learn business organization methods and planning principles and methods for management of these processes.
Tasks of the study course:
1. is intended to describe the characteristics and business conditions in its start-up business;
2. to clarify general regularities and principles of business functioning;
3. to master legal preconditions and territorial location principles of establishment of business, and skills to use them;
4. to master production and planning organization methods, as well as skills and abilities to use them;
5. to evaluate and to choose most efficient company's strategy in different situations.

The aim of the course is to provide information about constitutional foundation of the Latvian Sate and instruct students of the protection of fundamental rights in constitutional institutions of the Republic of Latvia.
During lectures and seminars it has been planned to have also lectures/seminars outside of University by organizing excursions with a lecture and meeting persons in the same institutions, for ex. Constitutional Court, Saeima, Supreme Court.
In spite the course has been dedicated to the issues of constitutional regulation of Latvia, it will combine also comparative aspect.
In the course all actual and topical information of recent developments of the constitutional institutions and protection of fundamental rights will be presented.

Social and emotional skills or emotional intelligence contains several aspects, like ability to control one's emotions, respect others, care and cooperate with others, solve problems, learn effectively and give contribution in family and society. Studies have proved that these skills can be taught and that the presence of these skills improve academic level. The aim of this course is to develop understanding and give opportunity to learn methods in order to improve student's skills of emotion regulation, positive communication, setting of real goals and responsible problem solving, therefore making social and emotional education as a core part of an education process.

The course aims to provide academic and administrative staff who teach and or communicate with students in the English language with a support to develop, consolidate and hone their spoken and written language skills and become confident communicators in performing English-medium academic and administrative duties.
To achieve the aim, the course reinforces the use of appropriate functional expressions in common academic and administrative situations which build rapport and mutual understanding, as well as addresses the most problematic English grammar use issues by consolidating the key structures essential for functioning effectively in the university context.
The course is delivered in a tailor-made fashion, prioritising the material relevant to the course participants´ needs and language level.
