The objective of the course is directed to help students better understand their personality, its individual particularities, formation and growth opportunities as well as to introduce with theoretical principles of stress nature, its impact on personal self-efficacy and practical techniques for overcoming stress that help in sustaining psychological balance and increase life quality both in personal and professional areas. The course includes active participant engagement in the learning process where individual work mingles with different group working methods: discussions, experience exchange, feedback. Theoretical questions intermingle with practical exercises as a result of which participants gain not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills. Practical sessions take place in closed groups and require active course participant engagement in group work.

The scholarship was established in 1999 by Guntis Bērziņš, a patron, professional engineer and public figure, in honour of his grandfather – the first elected rector of the University of Latvia (UL), Professor Ernests Felsbergs (1922–1923). The aim of the scholarship is to support capable, diligent and socially active students of humanities at the University of Latvia. Scholarshipis intended the UL Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Art, as well as Faculty of History and Philosophy master’s and doctoral students with excellent study achievements. 'DAGNIJA' The variety was created by crossing ♀’Sprīdītis’ x ♂’Erato’. The crossing was carried out in 2007. The variety was selected in 2014, registered in 2021. Breeder Gunita Riekstiņa. Blooms in late May, early June. At the age of thirteen, the bush reaches a height of 1.3 m and a width of 1.3 m. Recommended for cultivation in the central and western parts of Latvia. At the suggestion of the Latvian University Foundation, named after the patron Dagnija Rūse as a token of gratitude for the contribution of Dagnija and Roberts Rūsis family to the support of Latvian University students and excellent projects.
