Todayby "career" we mean the diversity of our professional lives and diversity of ourselves. Career as continuous development, as a path, as a goal, as one's personal and professional growth in a variety of ways. The Career Centre's motto "Become who you are" emphasizes the fact that we can shape our lives and ourselves, discovering and harnessing our hidden talents, abilities, and enjoying the fruits and results of our work. This motto is closely related to the mission of the Career Centre –to support and promote the professional growth, successful integration and competitiveness of students and graduates in the labour market. The UL Career Centre welcomes students and graduates of the UL, as well as students and employers. Career Centre professionals provide support to pupils, students and graduates on a variety of issues related to working life

Prospective students of the Faculty of History and Philosophy have the opportunity to try out a student’s life, participating in lectures and seminars, meet future lecturers and fellow students, visit study rooms and the library. It is a great opportunity for young people to get an idea of study process, study programmes and its content and academic staff. Representatives of Students’ Council of the Faculty of History and Philosophy introduce prospective students to extracurricular events and various activities. It is also an opportunity to learn more about particular study programmes directly from students and what opportunities provide these programmes.

Educational Treatment of Diversity in Higher and Adult Education

The aim of the study course is to provide doctoral students with the opportunity to raise their competence in pedagogical solutions of diversity in higher and adult education Objectives: 1) The acquisition of the course will facilitate the doctoral students’ awareness of the historical experience and topicalities of inclusive education in higher and adult education. The course will enhance students’ skills in applying the conclusions of theoretical and empirical research on inclusive education. 2) The students will learn to assess and select pedagogical diversity solutions for the needs of a specific target audience in diverse contexts; 3) they will learn to interpret and deal with research tasks fostering innovation keeping in mind the ethical liability for the influence solutions in educational sciences may have on the relations between education and society, on initiating and managing change in education and society in the context of diversity.

The aim of the course is to acquire in-depth knowledge in the one of the sub-fields of international law by participating in moot court of international judicial body. The course entails preparation of selected student teams for moot court competitions – oral presentations, trainings to argue the position of the applicant and respondent, to identify possible questions by judges and prepare answers to them.

Qualification Examination in Optometry
Course
Qualification examination in Optometry is the final stage of the Professional Master's study program. The aim of this examination is to evaluate students' theoretical and practical knowledge and their correspondence to the requirements of qualification in Optometry.
The qualification examination in Optometry consists of two parts:
  1. Theoretical knowledge examination consisting of 200 MCQ questions;
  2. Practical exam, where the student demonstrates ability to assess the visual function and evaluate the health of the eye structures in one patient; student should offer the most appropriate solution for the patient.
The objectives of the qualification examination in Optometry is to systematize the theoretical knowledge and to consolidate the practical knowledge and skills relevant to the professional duties of the optometrist as defined in the standard of the profession of optometrist.
