The aim of the practice is to apply theoretical knowledge of labor protection in practical activity, carrying out work environment expertise in a commercial company, a state or local government institution or a public organization.
The main task of the practice is to strengthen skills and abilities in work with qualitative, quantitative and semi-quantitative risk assessment methods (matrices and computer programs).
The language of instruction is Latvian.
The aim of the course is to provide an outline of fundamental mechanisms in developmental biology.
The students are introduced to principles of developmental anatomy and genetics, cell-cell communication, as well as fertilization differences between various species and its‘ consequential role in embriogenesis. After that, the embriogenesis processes are characterised in invertebrate modelorganisms and main classes of vertebrates. To expand comprehension of structural development students are acquainted with importance of stem cell in organogenesis and formation of organ systems, sex determination and postembrionic development. At the end of the course the medical and evolutional aspects of developmental biology are highlighted to indicate role of developmental process in life cycle context.
The scientific seminars are focused on analysis performed by students of specific problems in developmental biology, that would demonstrate practical and experimental aspects in this research
