The course is foreseen for students, who are interested in Swedish and want to continue language studies at the base level in conversation and writing. In the course students supplement the basic knowledge of vocabulary, pronunciation and intonation in Swedish. They continue to master basic grammatical categories and rules of Swedish and they develop their communicative skills in speech and writing as well.

The goal of course “Visual Identity of Riga is to familiarize students with the theoretical aspects, criteria for analysis and principles for designing visual identity, based on the example of the Latvian capital Riga, its reflection in various print, virtual and audiovisual products. During the course students will analyze the visualization of Riga in Latvian and foreign media in the context of journalism, advertising and public relations during different historic periods and today. During the course students will work on individual audiovisual projects, thus providing their own contribution to the development of Riga visual identity that can be later used for branding the city.
The course aims to introduce students to the psychology and andragogy subjects and different mental characteristics of human, to provide students with the knowledge of the main concepts of communication, reveal communication patterns and the basic rules of successful communication for diabetic patient care and education. To promote the use of theoretical knowledge in practical work, improving interpersonal relationships, develop will to interact, acceptance of diversity and mutual respect. Help students to learn the law of pedagogy, to understand the essence of the teaching process, the reasons for choosing exact teaching tools, their compliance with the patient's needs.
