The aim of the study course to continue to develop skills in assessment of the visual functions and eye structure health, vision correction prescribing, aftercare recommendation giving and vision rehabilitation performing, as well as to develop knowledge and skills in the independent analysis of the examination results, diagnostics, documentation and interpretation of refractive and functional anomalies of vision, patient informing by developing skills in professional ethics and communication, and understanding of the legal obligations of an optometrist.
The objectives of the study course are the following:
  • to improve skills in a general assessment of visual function and eye structure health using standard and specific optometric methods and devices;
  • to improve skills in appropriate vision correction prescription (glasses and contact lenses) and giving aftercare recommendations, as well as in adjustment
