The aim of the practice is to develop the skills of an optometrist assistant in the field of healthcare as a consultant of optical appliances, as optician, as optometrist assistant in the visual assessment process and as a researcher assistant in the development of scientific work.
The objectives of the practice are the following:
to choose appropriate optical appliance (eye lenses, contact lenses, frames, etc.) and / or eye care products (contact lens care products, sunglasses, etc.), based on optometrist's recommendations and appointments, provision of supply;
to carry out sales operations for the purpose of ensuring the circulation of optical appliances and their care products;
to know the methods of frame and lens manufacturing and application of special lens treatments and visual diagnostic methods;
to develop understanding of the possibilities of developing scientific
The aim of the course is to continue expanding students’ understanding of topical problem issues of education using English as a tool in knowledge acquisition, to develop students’ English language skills to be able to discuss pedagogical issues, to continue improving students’ knowledge of profession-related English and the language use skills. Students using English will deepen their understanding of the interaction of cultures, the impact of social and culture factors on the language acquisition, they will broaden their cultural world outlook, will be able to talk about the culture of English-speaking countries and their own country, people’s mentality and lifestyle, values, diversity and inclusion. The course integrates all four language skills. The course allows students to improve their presentation and discussion skills.

The goal of this course is to increase the knowledge and to improve the skills which have been gained during the Psychological Assessment course, as well as to put to use this knowledge and skills in the completion of psychological assessments, improving the correct use of assessment methods, and the establishment of appropriate contact with clients having various degrees and types of psychological difficulty.
