The students of the Faculty of Humanities can apply for Erasmus+ internship. A student, finding the internship in one of the enterprises abroad (Erasmus zone countries only), can get a scholarship from the University of Latvia. The application procedure: A student should find a place for his/her internship. However, before that a student should discuss the internship with the director of the programme (how the internship can be included into the programme). A student should get an acceptance letter that confirms the readiness of an enterprise to accept the student for the period of the internship. A student should contact the international coordinator, Margarita Spirida, e-mail: margarita.spirida@lu.lvfor the application details and deadlines Erasmus+ internship lasts for 2-5 months. The aim of the course is to acquaint doctoral students with the latest findings of the 21st century. in philosophy, with special emphasis on the points of contact between philosophy and cultural heritage studies. The goal is achieved by performing the following tasks: 1) in collaboration with doctoral study programs at foreign universities that offer cultural heritage studies, 2) highlighting the challenges of developing common cultural heritage projects in the European Science Area, 3) by organizing a joint form for the evaluation of research and doctoral topics in the field of philosophy of doctoral students at the University of Latvia - a joint scientific seminar No. of the University of Latvia and a foreign university. 2 outside Latvia, which emphasizes cultural heritage topics. The course is taught in Latvian and English.

The coexistence of Muslim, Jewish and Christian cultures on the Iberian Peninsula has a long history and interaction. By getting to know and understanding the history of these cultural contacts and their consequences, students will be able to better understand the problems associated with the coexistence of Islam and the Christian world in the 21st century. The aim of the course is to study the main features of the three religions, the historical and cultural events created by their coexistence and interaction on the Iberian Peninsula. The main tasks of the course: 1. to provide an understanding of the characteristics of Christian, Jewish and Muslim religions and their interaction with Spanish culture; 2. to study the periods in Spanish history when the presence of these three religions was most intense; 3. to understand the coexistence of three religions in the 21st century Spain. The language of instruction is Spanish

Police law is a sub-discipline of law which theoretically and empirically studies the police as an institution, its legality, organisation, tasks and its role in the social structure, its working style, efficiency, as well as the manner of its expression and attitude towards society. The knowledge to be acquired during the study course is necessary for police officers, investigators and investigators' immediate superiors, as well as for other persons who come into contact with police officers. The course aim is to providing thorough and practically applicable knowledge of policing in the country. The study course provides practical knowledge in areas of police activity that would be of particular relevance to officers with special ranks performing duties in the State Police.
