The International Physics Olympiad ( IPhO ) has been organised since 1967. The first Olympiad was held in Warsaw, Poland. The IPhO offers students the opportunity to compete by demonstrating a broad knowledge of physics, problem-solving and analysis skills, creativity and practical experimental skills. Students’ Council of the University of Latvia (LU SP) in Science affairs works with the goal to bring attention to scientific opportunities and to support students-researchers in their scientific activity.
