It is highly desirable that students who are on an internship or work in parallel with their studies in an IT organisation, also develop the relevant final work – qualification paper, bachelor's thesis and master's thesis – under the guidance of a qualified specialist of this IT organisation. This is not a mandatory requirement, but it gives a student an opportunity to develop at least part of the work done as final work, save time and achieve a better result.
The study course aims to provide an understanding of consumer protection law in the modern world. Students are introduced to the concept and necessity, nature and basic principles of consumer protection rights; regulatory framework in Latvia in connection with the legal framework of the European Union; for consumer rights protection institutes such as a pre-drawn contract, specific consumer protection rights contracts, compliance of the object of the contract with the contract, consumer's legal remedies, dispute resolution and prohibition of unfair commercial practices. The course examines the latest cases in consumer protection rights in the European Union and Latvia.
The aim of the study programme: to provide an opportunity for students to acquire the knowledge, skills, competence in sports necessary for the work of a sports coach with the qualification of a sports coach in accordance with the professional competence requirements set on a national and international scale. Students formulate and analyse practical problems in the work of a sports coach, obtain the necessary information and, observing the basic requirements of professional ethics, use it to solve clearly defined problems in planning, organizing and evaluating sports training. Plans, organizes, manages and evaluates the training process in a specific sport (basketball and football), applying appropriate methods and taking into account the individual needs and abilities of the target group in the sports training process.
