for “First-principles molecular dynamics simulations of layered MoS 2 material” paper was continued. The topic of the article was narrowed to a MoS 2 compound. Additional NpT calculations for MoS 2 compound at 300 K were started. Study of the documentation of the project "A Universal Force Engine for Advanced Molecular Dynamics" ( ipi-code.org ) for path integrals method implementation was started. From January 13th to 24th, there was a mobility to the University of Duisburg-Essen. Activities in framework of the post-doctoral project as well as interesting results obtained in University of Duisburg-Essen, Chair of Theoretical Chemistry during last half-year were discussed on common seminar with participation of Prof. E. Spohr, Dr. S. Kenmoe and PhD student T. Kox The manuscript of the paper „Validation of 2D constrained models for TiO 2 nanotubes over a broad range of diameters” was updated. Chemistry Olympiad, each country's team is selected to participate in the International Chemistry Olympiad. The goals of the Olympiad are also to stimulate the activities of students interested in chemistry by solving chemistry tasks independently and creatively, as well as to promote international contacts in chemistry. This year, Latvia must organize the twentieth - anniversary - Baltic Olympics. The UL Faculty of Chemistry has been chosen as the organizer of the Baltic Olympics in Latvia. Every three years, each of the Baltic States hosts the Baltic Chemistry Olympiad at one of its universities. The project is supported by the patron “Fudeks” (EUR 570). Strengthening the Studies of Anthropology at the UL in 2012 The field of anthropology in Latvia and the UL is new and needs to be strengthened as a resource, promoting the competitiveness of study programs and opening them to capable anthropologists on a European and global scale. UL will not only gain a strong and foreign program

recording device – 1. 01.01.2018 – 31.03.2018 Worked on the development and improvement of the multispectral device Skimager according to the project. A new Skimager LED ring has been created - I have performed measurements of the radiation stability of the previously developed LED ring. The results were different for each wavelength, with a tendency to decrease in intensity during the first five seconds. The main difference will be that the new one will be made of 1.5mm aluminum plate. This would significantly improve the thermal output from the LEDs. A technically complex design work has been performed to develop such an diode aluminum ring. Skimager body - worked on body improvements. Work has been done on supplementing the Skimager electronics board - all nodes of the developed circuit boards have been tested and the revealed shortcomings have been accounted for and improvements have been made. Various nodes are changed and the board drawing is improved. Skimager software enhancements
