We offer to: take a look into the everyday life of the institute's scientists, take a glimpse into the laboratories of the institute, show some interesting experiments , represent what opportunities there are for your education and work at the institute. To apply , write an e-mail to Laura.Locmele@cfi.lu.lv Please note that: Application must be done no later than 2 weeks before the planned excursion (a specific date will be agreed upon). Desired age of students is starting from 8th Grade, number of participants – until 20. Excursion takes about 1,5 hours.

Team supervision
Course (continue)
The aim of the study course is to introduce students with the team supervision and its differences from group supervision, to render knowledge on organization aspects, which can affect supervision process. The course begins with theoretical insight in application of teamwork in social work and describes the team supervision as one of group supervision forms. Further in the course students obtain knowledge in management, business and public administration. In practical works students will play role-plays in order to secure knowledge about planning process within organization and evaluation.

The objective of the course is to get students familiar with common and subject related questions about science teaching and learning methodology in primary and secondary school: organization and planning of teaching and learning process; development of curriculum and teaching and learning system. Students will obtain introductory knowledge and understanding about organizing teaching and learning process necessary to work as science teacher. Students will analyse and reflect; simulate and modelling about teaching-learning process. The examples about mathematics, informatics and geography subjects teaching and learning are also included.
