The course is designed as an introduction to the modern theory of language life, addressing language problems, regional contacts, language conflicts and competition. Main attention is drwn towards English expansion and inner processes. The themes viewed are necessary for would-be interpreters, translators. Geolinguistic and sociolinguistic aspects are discussed.
