To undertake this course, the students’ level in French must reach the “B1.1” level set accordingly to the “Cadre commun européen de référence” (“Common European Framework of Reference for Languages”).

The course “ English for Modern Communication” is designed for allstudents who aim at developing and practising communicative skills application in their professional field or in future working conditions. During the course students are supposed to improve their skills for communicative purposes and also acquire the essential habits of giving talks on graphical information, delivering presentations and professional discussion using correct modern English.
The target of study course is to give the opportunity for students to analyze the theoretical basis of the civic education, changes in approach and implementation experience in the EU and in the world, to promote students' awareness of the civic education as a key competence in contemporary educational process, as well as to present the methodological techniques of the civic engagement and civic attitudes in schools, and to reflect on the consequences for the pupils' personal and civic growth.

Audio and video recordings, Internet resources, and other authentic materials are used to promote language learning and intercultural dialogue. From the very beginning, the students learn the differences between the Brazilian and Portuguese language variants.
