Course code: RedZT002 Course annotation The course is intended for those who have obtained bachelor's degree (or an equivalent education), in a different field but not in optometry, and are willing to enter the professional master's study programme Clinical Optometry . The aim of this course is to establish basic knowledge and skills in topics essential for starting studies in professional master’s study programme Clinical Optometry – geometrical optics, physical optics, visual optics, eye anatomy and physiology, refraction, eye diseases, binocular vision, contact lenses, optometric instruments. Each week is devoted to a different topic and concluded with a test. At the end of the course participant takes final test, which includes questions about all the topics covered during the course. Future Projects The "Campus" concept includes not only a home for studies and science, but also an environment where you can recharge your batteries, do active sports and make new contacts, share ideas with each other, so we plan to expand our Campus in the future. We are currently doing preparations for several future projects, this includes both the planning of these houses, the attraction of funding and other issues. As soon as the University makes a decision to implement one of the future projects, we will inform the public about it.

The course aims at forming the students’ knowledge of disease mechanisms caused by disturbance in immune system functions. During the course students will deepen their knowledge of immune systems functions and will analyze pathogenesis of immunological disorders, their clinical presentation and treatment principles. Course aims to introduce congenital and acquired immunodeficiency, HIV infection and post exposure prophylaxis, autoimmune diseases with greater emphasis on diseases that affect oral cavity and salivary glands: Sjogren's syndrome, bullous skin diseases, systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, antiphospholipid syndrome. Allergic diseases: allergic rhinitis, bronchial asthma, urticaria, atopic dermatitis, adverse drug reactions, allergic contact dermatitis. During the course vaccine types, basics of immunization and vaccine role in prophylaxis will be covered. Transplant rejection reactions will also be covered during the course.
