Regular application usually takes place within the last week of August until the middle of September. After the application is received, it will be reviewed by the Council of the Doctoral school, after which the applicant is informed with the final decision. The course is a continuation of Chinese language course "Chinese VII". It introduces students to more complicated grammatical forms, literary works of the 20th.century, specific expressions, giving also a further and deeper understanding of the Chinese thought. With the increasing amount of vocabulary, students will be able to use the Chinese spoken language more freely and fluently when having direct contact with native speakers.

The activities of interests groups could partly explain the development and functioning of the (then) European Economic Community (EEC). They can form an important means of contact between the rather remote central institutions of the EU and the populations of the member states. In so doing, interest groups can play a key role in legitimizing the decisions of the EU. Today, the performance of key business sectors in Europe would be undermined without the willing and collective involvement of firms with public authorities in the governance of their affairs, because the quality of public decisions depends upon the specialist input and co-operation of the powerful interests they affect. Archaeology and Ethnography of the Finno-Ugrians
Course
The aim of the course is to offer a view on the origin of the Finno-Ugrian peoples, ethnic history, material culture and lifestyle from the Prehistoric times up to the 20th century. On the grounds of the archaeological evidence the disintegration of the Finno-Ugrian culture community into separate culture-ethnical groups in the Neolithic and Bronze Age are viewed. The following divergence in the Iron Age in the peoples known from the written sources such as Vepsi, Voti, Karelians, Estonians, Livs etc. are examined as well. The contacts and their consequence among the Finns, Balts and Slavs are analysed. The ethnographic part of the course comprises the wide description of the ethnography of Estonians, Finns, Livonians. Students are aquainted with ethnic situation, historic regions, their peculiarities and interaction.
