Materials Testing Laboratory of the Institute for Mechanics of Materials, University of Latvia conducts mechanical strength testing of various composite materials and composite made elements, both in the framework of scientific projects and contract work.

Materials testing laboratory provides testing of:

1) composite materials made of carbon, kevlar, glass and basalt fiber;

2) strength of joints and fastenings (for example, screws);

3) mechanical strength of products for civil engineering in accordance with international standards, for example, bending tests of concrete blocks;

4) different materials according to material specifics.

Tests can be registered in video and tests can be done at low or high (from -70 ° C to + 250 ° C) temperatures.
