IV International Conference „Microbial Diversity: Resource Potential” took place on 23 November 2016 in the main building of Russian Academy of Sviences in Moscow. About 100 of leading reseachers from Russia, Belgium, Italy, France, Australia, Latvia, Belarus and Armenia participated at this conference. Prof. Alexander Rapoport was a member of organizing committee of this conference as well as an invited speaker. His talk was devoted to anhydrobiosis and maintenance of microorganisms’ diversity. The main focus of this international meeting was linked with microbial biodiversity – its understanding, conservation and use.
