Laboratory of Magnetic Hydromechanics
The laboratory specializes in the design and manufacturing of liquid metal contours and their equipment: electromagnetic induction pumps, flowmeters, heat exchangers.
Main directions of research are:
- Experimental, numerical and analytical experimental studies of electromagnetic induction pumps for liquid metal transport.
- Experimental modelling of fusion reactor diverters in a strong magnetic field.
- MHD Flow Experimental Studies and Numerical Modelling in Strong Magnetic Fields, Heat Transmission Studies in the Fusion Reactor Blanket.
- Structural materials corrosion studies in high-temperature liquid metal MHD flow.
