On 10–11 April 2025, the University of Latvia House of Science will host the prestigious annual conference of the European University Association (EUA).

This distinguished forum will bring together over 300 leaders representing prominent European universities to jointly seek answers to today’s challenges. This year’s theme, “Connecting the dots on sustainability and resilience”, will serve as a guide to exploring the role of universities in shaping a sustainable future, both in academic environment and society.

This year’s conference will present 10 particularly devised sessions where experts will discuss sustainability in the context of funding, digitalisation, academic careers and university governance. Furthermore, the sessions will highlight the Sustainable Development Goals, introducing examples of practical measures taken by universities to put these goals into practice. Participants will seek answers to the question of how universities can strengthen their resilience without losing touch with society. This discussion will be heard in special sessions dedicated to the challenges of knowledge security and creation of an inclusive environment.

Representatives of higher education institutions’ management are especially invited to join the conference: link to registration.

Information about the conference is available on the EUA website: link to website.
