Representatives from three InnoCom partners and Latvian University attended the programme’s flagship annual meeting, Europe Let’s Cooperate, held in Antwerp on 20-21 March. Attendees from Sviluppumbria, the Hauts-de-France region and the University of Latvia met in Belgium to hear from the Interreg Europe joint secretariat and speakers from EU institutions.

The event marked the opening of both Interreg Europe’s third call and the special call for first and second call projects to add “discovery partners” from seven pre-accession states. These partners will participate in the interregional exchange of experience activities and bring fresh perspectives to our work.

To foster new partnerships, the programme invited attendees from those states: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Ukraine. InnoCom made good use of the networking periods, meeting with representatives from municipalities and regions in pre-accession countries that are interested in cooperating.

InnoCom plans to add two discovery partners and is already working to prepare the application.
