In the light of International Women’s Day Professor Tatjana Muravska gives a public lecture „Towards a New European Neighbourhood Policy: What are the Benefits of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Areas for Shared Security and Prosperity?”

This lecture examines the problem of the European Neighbourhood countries’ integration with the European Union market from two perspectives: the macroeconomic situation as an integral component of the overall transformation process, and the political economy of the regional integration perspectives of these countries. This methodological approach serves as a tool for integrating a number of main goals related to the EU’s soft power that require the development and support of civil society in the neighbouring states. Dr. Muravska offers insight into the implementation of the regional arrangements taking into consideration the new political and economic realities in the Eurasian Single Economic Space, and examines the implications of expanding and adapting the content and approach of the Association Agreements and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA). Economic development in Eastern Europe and Caucasus as a precondition for the prosperity and security is further discussed. More information at the home page of Carleton University.
