At the end of October 2024, Slovenian television RTV visited Latvia to produce a series on rural youth in Europe by including there also an information about Latvia.

The purpose of the visit was to create stories about youth support measures in various European countries, with a particular focus on promoting entrepreneurship as one of the solutions to demographic challenges and brain drain. In total, Slovenian television visited 10 countries.

Slovenian journalist and presenter Dino Subašić visited the University of Latvia, the Latvian Rural Advisory and Education Centre, and met with Sandra Einmane, President of the Young Farmers Club of Latvia, as well as Madara Miltoviča, owner of the Natural Leather Workshop in Ogre and participant in the rural youth entrepreneurship programme Laukiem Būt!” (The Countryside Will Be!).

The Slovenian TV visit was made possible thanks to the cooperation within the Rural Youth Future (RYF) project, which was established during a RYF study visit to the Pomurje region (Slovenia).

The stories about young people in Europe are produced with the support of the European Union under the programme Support for Information Measures Relating to EU Cohesion Policy.
