I choose University of Latvia because I wanted the education to be high level, to obtain the knowledge I need for my future but also to have and practice. Currently now I’m in my 2nd year of Optometry education and I’m very happy with my choice. The teaching stuff is very kind, polite and with a lot of knowledge and experience they also remain aware of any new information regarding our studies. The optometry department has all the new machines and instruments needed for our practice. And of course, from social aspects at University of Latvia there are a lot of international students which are very kind, helpful and welcoming. I’m glad to be part of this community and to have them as colleagues.

I chose to study at the University of Latvia because of a wonderful experience I had as a tourist in 2016. During my visit, I fell in love with the country, the warm and friendly people, and the delicious food. When the opportunity came to pursue my master's degree, Latvia was the first destination that came to mind. I researched various universities and found that the University of Latvia offered the perfect specialization I was looking for—it was like finding the perfect ring that fits just right. I have absolutely no regrets about choosing LU. I've made amazing friends, and I feel at home here. The professors are highly qualified and have greatly enriched my academic journey.
