The European Studies module consists of two integrated parts: Foreign Affairs (in which courses such as Europeanization: from partnership to membership will be learned and foundation of the European Union) and Domestic Affairs (governance and management of the European Union, politics and policy in Latvia, strategic communication and public diplomacy). For each module passed, students will receive an internationally recognised certificate from the University of Latvia. The school of young professionals is designed for both bachelor's and master's level students as well as doctoral students who can choose modules based on their academic interests and needs.
The Young professionals` school will be implemented online, enabling a large number of students to be brought together. Together, more than 60 applications from students from various prestigious universities in Ukraine have been received such as Yaroslaw Mudryi National Law University, Poltava Law Institute, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Institute for International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University and others.
On September 21, the students started their courses with a joint introductory lecture on the Zoom platform, where they were addressed by Professor Iveta Reinholde, head of the Political Science Division. Students had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with future agendas and the format of future studies, to ask questions of interest, and to meet each other.
