PhD student awarded best presentation at the European Conference of Young Gastroenterologists

University of Latvia PhD student Danute Ražuka-Ebela was awarded best presentation in the "1st European Conference of Young Gastroenterologists - Challenges in Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology" (Zagreb, Croatia, 6-9th December) for the topic "Association between Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, Gastric Atrophy and Helicobacter pylori in Latvia."

Of the 260 abstracts accepted for the conference, the top 10 were chosen. Authors of the top 10 had to present and defend their topics in a session with the scientific committee. The committee then selected the best presentation. The winner was awarded free registration for the leading European gastroenterology event UEG Week 2019.
