President of Iceland to present a guest lecture at the University of Latvia

During his state visit to Republic of Latvia, H.E. President of the Republic of Iceland Guðni Thorlacius Jóhannesson on November 16 will deliver a lecture at the University of Latvia Small Hall “Can small countries have an impact? Support of Iceland to the independence of Baltic countries 1990–1991”.
The lecture will begin at 14:00, to be presented in cooperation with the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia. Video broadcast will be available, and lecture will be held in English.
The President of Iceland pays a state visit to the Republic of Latvia from 15 to 18 November 2018 to celebrate the Centenary of the Republic of Latvia, confirms the webpage of the President of Latvia.
Iceland was the first country in the world, which officially recognised the restoration of the independence of the Republic of Latvia in 1991.
