LATO (Latvian Transatlantic organization) in cooperation with the University of Latvia invites FORTHEM alliance students to apply for The Future Leaders Forum.

Are you under 35 and a young professional passionate about informing others, international relations, and maintaining a balanced life? If you have a background in academia, non-governmental organizations, the public sector, industry, or journalism, and are ready to take on leadership in complex situations, this opportunity is for you.

The Future Leaders Forum, part of The Rīga Conference, on October 16-17, 2024 offers an excellent opportunity to discuss issues related to your interests and experiences with peers, policymakers, academics, opinion leaders, and experts in security and defence. By participating in the forum and conference, you'll have the chance to expand your network, challenge yourself, and acquire new skills and knowledge.

The Rīga Conference Future Leaders Forum offers young professionals a platform to actively engage in discussions about current and emerging challenges in international security and resilience. Participants will share their perspectives on the leadership demands of a changing world. Through panel discussions, they will interact with experts, policymakers, academics, and thought leaders from around the globe. Participants will have the chance to moderate discussions and participate in a simulation game related to the forum's themes.

After the forum, we plan to publish a volume featuring papers authored by the participants. We invite you to submit an abstract with your application, focusing on a topic related to international security and resilience, with a particular emphasis on the leadership needed to effectively address various challenges.

The forum will be held from October 16th to 17th, offering young professionals the chance to participate in the main sessions of the Riga Conference from October 17th to 19th.
